Submitting an application is not a commitment to foster an animal, nor is it a guarantee that you will be chosen to be a foster home. This information will be used to determine if your home and lifestyle will be a good fit for animals in need of a foster home. We will also use this information to determine which type of animal and personality would work best in your home.
As part of the application processing, we will call personal references and your vet as well as conduct a home visit. Please make sure the contact information on this form is correct so we are able to do so. We will also do a background check.
If you submit a foster application and are interested in fostering a specific animal, please message us on Facebook or email us to let us know. This will expedite our ability to process your application if you are a good fit for that animal. If you submit a foster application because you are generally interested in fostering at some point in the future, please let us know if you don't hear from us and you see an animal you are interested in fostering. Not hearing back from us does not necessarily mean your application has been denied. We never intend to overlook applications but we have to prioritize applications based on urgency of finding placement for specific animals and our volunteers don't have time to process every application as they come in.
All Hero's Haven animals are required to be indoor animals. Foster animals must be kept indoors and no unsupervised outdoor time is allowed.
