This beautiful young lady is looking for a FURR-ever home.
Goldie came to us from Scott County Humane Society after being found as a stray last September. We estimate her to be around 2 years old. She spent time at PetSmart until our summer kitten invasion where she began to gain extra weight due to open access to high calorie kitten food. While with the kittens, she did wonderfully with them.
Goldie is now in a foster home with four feline foster siblings, both male and female (and a human brother), where her calorie intake is being monitored. She is doing well, losing the excess weight, and enjoying being in a home.
While this is her first is experience living with a family, she is showing a desire to bond. She gets along fairly well with her foster siblings, though it has been noticed that she does best with the male, and prefers the females give her space. Like many cats, she likes to be the one in charge. She does well with children, mostly watching from afar; but has not yet been around dogs.
Goldie’s favorite pastimes are helping her foster mom work and relaxing in one of her several napping spots. She enjoys watching birds out the window, and of course, she loves mealtime. Goldie is not a fan of being picked up, however; she loves being pet and is on track to be a wonderful lap cat.
