Hi, I’m Paisley!
Before some nice ladies up here in Iowa came across me living down south, I spent my life having puppies. Like lots of puppies. You know the song “do your ears hang low”… well my ears don’t but some other things do. This time around at 7 1/2 years old, I raised 9 puppies. I’m a petite girl so this was a lot of work for a lady of my age but my pups thrived and all but two have found their forever homes!
My foster mama noticed a lump one day while I was nursing my babies so when I went to have this weird surgery to prevent me from having more babies some incredibly kind people removed the lump too. At least that’s what I’m told. I don’t really remember anything until my foster mama cuddled me and told me I needed to stop taking off my surgical suit. I never did leave that or their weird circle thing they put on my head alone and I pulled out every last stitch but I’m recovering well anyway. That was a week and a half ago and all I know is I am a whole new girl. I bound with joy, get the zoomies, and do all sorts of things my mom didn’t know I had in me!
Anyway, my mom says those kind people sent off tissue (I’m not sure why they’re sending people Kleenex) and they said it was cancer. My mom was really sad but then those nice ladies who saved my life told her they removed all of it and I should be cancer free. I’m told they also X-rayed my body just to be sure. Mom says there is chance of those lumps coming back but that my family should just check periodically just like human ladies should. If any come back, they can remove them, or make the decision that is best for me based on my age and life at the time. I heard mom mention this could cost money but she quickly said I’m worth it and that it may not even ever come back.
I think I’d really like a home where I can be the center of someone’s world. I don’t care if there are other siblings or not, but I for sure want lots of love. I’m just ready for someone to take care of me like I have so many babies before.
