We saved this little guy and his sister from euthanasia at an animal control just across the border in Illinois last week thanks to a foster stepping up for him! Now he's ready to find his forever family!
Barkley is estimated to be about 5 months old. He is current on vaccines but needs two more shots in the future. He is not yet neutered but can be adopted with a pre-neuter contract and that can happen at our expense with one of our vets after adoption. He has been dewormed and started on preventatives. He's also microchipped.
Barkley came from a house with at least 15 other dogs including many puppies and it's been a bit of an adjustment but he's doing great in his foster home. He is doing pretty well with potty training but will need an adoptive family willing to continue this training as well as crate training and helping him learn basic commands, like any puppy needs!
His foster mom adores him and says that he is such a lover and very much wants to be by you all the time and give all the kisses.
Barkley is an energetic little guy and would benefit from being adopted into an active family and/or a home with a fenced yard/another playful dog. He will be a large breed size full-grown.
