Fern is a special kitty that needs a special home. She had very severe damage done to her pelvis and rear legs that resulted in numerous pelvic fractures and she also had to have surgery to have both of her femoral heads removed (FHO) due to both femurs being fractured. Through all of this trauma Fern has always remained happy and LOVES people. Fern does have a narrow pelvic canal due to the trauma that she endured and will be predispositioned to constipation and mega colon as she ages. Keeping her on a prescription food for GI motility will be required, she is also on a joint supplement to help with all of the fractures in her pelvis and legs so arthritis doesn't develop as fast as it would without it. Fern is amazing with all people and the kind of cat that will sleep with you in bed at night. She tolerates dogs well but will get swatty if they get in her face. Fern doesn't love having cat friends but after a very long adjustment period she can learn to live with them. She is the queen bee in the cat world and she will show that so cat friends with a more submissive personality are required.
