Garfunkel is feline leukemia virus (FeLV) positive. FeLV+ cats can live relatively long, healthy lives but they typically do have shorter lifespans and can experience sudden worsening of the disease at any time. Garfunkel needs a home with no other cats or one where the other cat(s) has/have FeLV too as the virus is contagious to other cats through prolonged direct contact (though there is a vaccine that can help protect uninfected cats).
