Silk is STILL waiting for his forever home.
 

Silk is special needs as he was born with double Merle genes. He is vision impaired. However, he can hear very well!
 

We thought for sure that Silk was an Aussie or border collie mix but we did a DNA test on him to evaluate his genes further and he’s a total mutt with breeds we’d never have expected! Can you believe he’s 35% boxer?!?!
 

Silk is estimated to be around 2-3 years old. He is an energetic guy and had few manners when he first came to us so we sent him to our fabulous trainer and he's doing so well. She says he is very smart and responsive. His trainer will counsel an adopter on the command's Silk knows and how to continue helping him thrive.
 

He should do well with a younger dog around his size (40lbs+) who is playful but easygoing. We will require a meet between him and any dog in the adoptive home to make sure it’s a good match. We are recommending kids 12+ and NO cats or small animals. Silk does ideally need a fenced yard for safety due to his blindness and so that he can get his energy out.
