Meet Serena! She’s looking for her forever home!

Serena was minutes from euthanasia in Texas and we couldn’t let her die simply because the shelter was out of space and needed her kennel for another dog. So we tagged her and her puppy Alexis and our director drove to meet a volunteer driver from Amarillo in Kansas City to get them and two others saved from euthanasia.

From her foster mom:

Serena is a VERY sweet young dog who wants love and attention. She is not a fan of kennels but has been fine left out unattended. She is used to sleeping on couches and at the foot of the bed with her people. She likes to play with toys and has not chewed anything else so far. She is easy to handle (ears, feet, mouth) and you can take away bones/toys from her without issue. Serena redirects easily, wants to please, and is treat motivated. Serena will likely do fine with kids and has done well with other dogs here in her foster home.

Serena is estimated to be 2-3 years old. She weighs about 50 lbs. She’s current on vaccines, microchipped, heartworm negative and spayed! Her adoption fee is $250. Apply at the link below if interested!
