Say hi to Duke!!! He’s looking for his forever home!
Duke was minutes from euthanasia in Texas and we couldn’t let him die simply because the shelter was out of space and needed his kennel for another dog. So we tagged him and our director drove to meet a volunteer driver from Amarillo in Kansas City to get him and three others saved from euthanasia.
We are still getting to know Duke but so far we can tell you he’s a very sweet boy. He’s great with other dogs and hasn’t cared much about the cat in his foster home. He isn’t a fan of kennels so an adopter would need to work with him on crate training if they want to kennel him. He seems to be house trained as he hasn't had any accidents since the first day in his foster home.
Duke is estimated to be 1-2 years old. He weighs about 70 lbs but is pretty thin currently. He’s current on vaccines, microchipped, heartworm negative and is getting neutered tomorrow! His adoption fee is $250. Apply at the link below if interested!
