Kernel was saved from an awful life as a stray right here in Eastern Iowa last winter by a compassionate person who chose to do something rather than stand by and let an innocent soul suffer. His hero brought him indoors, treated him for mange, lyme disease and worms, and restored his spirit. She was unable to keep him permanently and reached our recently for help. We are grateful to bring him into the Hero’s Haven family, thanks to his foster family welcoming him into their home, and we promise to find him a wonderful forever home.
Kernel is a very good boy who loves to love and be loved and he enjoys napping and being outdoors. He’s estimated to be about 6 years old.

Kernel would do best in a home with:

• No cats
• A fenced yard
