GM01 was what we first knew this guy as. Not a name but a kennel number and it’s the best this guy got while waiting for death on the euthanasia list in a kill shelter in Kansas.
He never would have made it out alive. All because he is a big beefy pitbull and to some that’s scary. But his eval notes made it clear he’s just a gentle giant who found himself in a bad situation and was very scared.
The MINUTE he was out of the shelter, his personality completely changed. He went from being shut down and terrified to a confident wiggly butt dog who just wanted all the attention!
Beefcakes is great with other dogs! We think he'll do ok with cats but will be cat testing him further. He should be good with kids but he is a big boy (80 lbs) so caution with small kiddos will be needed.
We don't know his age but think he's not more than a couple years old. He still needs neutered which we will get done ASAP or can send him to his new home with a pre-neuter contract where we pay for the neuter at one of our vets after adoption. He's been tested for heartworm and is negative. He's up to date on his vaccines and microchipped.
