Meet sweet Mia. This young girl has had a very rough start. She was a Houston street dog. When rescued last year, she was pregnant despite still basically being a puppy herself. Her puppies have all long been adopted and so have the other dogs she was found with, some of them after coming to Iowa on past transports. Doyle, an HH alum, was her main man when they were still both in Texas.

Mia was initially very timid but she has come a long way since she was rescued over 8 months ago. She now wags her tail and enjoys cuddling. She does seem to prefer women over men and has never been around young children. She is dog-friendly and would do well in a home with another confident, friendly dog. She seems to especially bond with confident male dogs. She will need a proper introduction, of course, to both new people and dogs.
