Rex is a 1 year old German shorthaired pointer. He was in training to be a service dog for a veteran in Georgia but he told the trainers he didn't want to be a service dog, he just wanted to be a pet! We brought him up to Iowa to find his forever home. Rex is a very friendly dog and has a lot of energy - not surprising because he's basically still puppy! He is dog-friendly. Cats are unknown but we suspect he'd do best in a home without them. He is a typical pointer and likes to chase small animals. Rex is rambunctious and his ideal home would be one where he can go on a lot of walks and/or run around in a fenced yard. He is good with kids but because of his energy level, he would do best with older children.
Adoption fee is $250 and includes neuter, core vaccines, and microchip. Rex is heartworm negative.
