My name is Tank and I am probably the most boisterous couch potato Australian Shepherd you will ever meet! I am very leery of new people and prefer a new person to let me approach them first so that I can warm up to them. I had a rough past and I take a while to trust. Once we get to know each other though I can be the biggest love bug and will never leave your side, like never, I am a Velcro dog!

I love to play fetch and will bring the toy right to you! I love walks and being outside. Running and playing are my most favorite things after napping. I know how to sit, stay/wait, come, kennel, lay down, treat. I am completely house trained and know how to go potty on a good schedule. If you say walk I will get super excited and start running around. I am learning to heel but on walks I zig zag all over because I am a herding dog! Rabbits and squirrels make me so excited to chase!

I need lots of exercise because at my last vet appointment I joined the heavy weight class at an astounding 83 lbs!  I don’t let that stop me from doing all the things I like. I am learning to play with other dogs but I do love to get all the attention and love.

I require special weight control food and am on some medicine for my digestion. I have learned to love raw real food treats like chicken, frozen kefir, eggs, and real meatballs! I will do anything for a piece of cheese! I come with collar, harnesses, leashes, dog bowls, blanket, my special rug, chew toys, and my huge tennis ball! I prefer an XL kennel and that will need to be provided.

PS.  I'm not a good fit for cats or small kids!
