Lilah has not had the easiest of life.  Tortured, abused, neglected, possibly used as a bait dog, all things Lilah dealt with daily in her short two years of life.  Despite that, she has nothing but love for humans, especially children.  We're not sure how that's possible, given what humans have done to her in the past.

Lilah left Houston to try to find something better than what she faced back there.  She is undergoing heartworm treatment and is half way through it, but only has a few more months left, which the rescue covers the expense of.

Due to her past and possibly being used for a bait dog, she would do best as an only dog.  She does live with other dogs, but does not get along with the energetic ones, or the ones she feels threatened by, but who can blame her?  Being made to fight just to please humans has made it hard for her to read other dogs.

She is looking for a loving family with no other dogs.  One who would help her erase her past by creating new, happier memories.  She is an extremely sweet and gentle dog, and she deserves so much more than what life has handed her.

Lilah's adoption fee is $250.00 which includes her spay, microchip, vaccinations and heartworm treatment.  She will need to be on heartworm preventative for the remainder of her life, as all dogs should be.

Home check and reference checks are required on all applicants.  We want the best for Lilah, and we owe that to her.
