From Kingsley's foster mom:
Kingsley is a short hair St. Bernard/hound mix. He's a mellow dog that's housebroken, but gets excited when new people visit, and has to be reminded not to jump. He's a cuddler. He'll follow you around wherever you go, even pokes his head into the shower to make sure you're okay! He walks well with a leash, but is a strong boy, so I always have a chest harness on him. Not sure how he is around cats, young kids or in a kennel. Does well with other dogs. He's protective of his food, not aggressive, but if other dogs are in the house, you'll need separate bowls and watch him because he'll push his way over to the other bowl and eat all the food! Last month he weighed 98 lbs and probably over 100 by now. He loves the outdoors and since he just finished all his HW treatment, he's ready to let loose and run around in a fenced in yard. I think he'd do well in any home setting, but due to his size and strength, I would watch him around small kids and others with mobility issues.
Kingsley is 3 1/2 yrs old and is a true Texan. His adoption fee is $250.00 which includes wellness exam, neuter, microchip, vaccinations and heart worm test. Kingsley will need to be on heartworm preventative the rest of his life to ensure that he never has to go through that painful treatment ever again.
