Rosebud (her friends call her Rosie) started her life out pretty rough. She was abandoned on the streets of Houston, Texas. She found shelter under an abandoned house where she was found by rescuers. It took weeks for her to trust them, but once she realized they were great she warmed right up!
Now, she lives in Iowa. Her foster family has three other dogs who she gets along with great! She also loves hanging out with people. Her foster family has an 8 year old boy as well, and she loves sitting beside him watching tv. Rosebud is around a year old, house trained, and is a happy, fun-loving girl.
Unfortunately, Rosie hates cats. We don’t know what happened to her while living alone and abandoned, but she has learned that cats should not be allowed to cohabitate anywhere near her.
Rosie DOES like several things: going for walks, playing with toys, getting treats after she behaves well, playing with her foster family’s dogs, cuddling on the couch, sleeping in her bed (but REALLY likes sleeping in her foster family’s bed), getting belly rubs, and napping.
Rosebud is an amazing dog who has overcome a lot! She will make a great addition to a loving family.
