Sally is a 4 year old lab mix. Like many of our dogs, this girl has been through a lot. She was rescued in Texas after her veteran dad found himself without a home. We know that Sally does well with cats. She has done great in her foster home with other dogs, big and small, but has been dog reactive when previously adopted. We believe that Sally must have a good amount of decompression and acclimation time in her new environment and with her new human(s) before she can feel secure enough to be introduced to new dogs.

From Sally's foster mom:
She was a bit shy when she first got here, but after awhile she fit right in and started following me around the house.  Sally likes to play frisbee for a bit and then she’s ready to lay in the shade.  She is not demanding and is easy going.  She also walks good on the leash and likes to snuggle on the couch at night. She is shy when meeting strangers and takes a bit to warm up to them.  She does collect shoes, but doesn’t chew on them, she just wants to feel stylish. All in all, she is a great dog and easy to become attached to.  After what she’s been through, she deserves the best life ever.

Sally's adoption fee is $250 and includes wellness exam, spay, heartworm test, vaccinations and microchip.

You must complete the application in its entirety to be considered. To be approved, you must successfully pass all portions of the application process:

1) Vet Reference: All current animals must be up-to-date on vaccines and spayed/neutered, unless there is a legitimate medical reason for not meeting these requirements.

2) Personal References: Three personal references over the age of 21 (and only one family member) must provide positive feedback.

3) Home Check: Your home environment must prove to be a safe and healthy environment for the animal.

4) Background Check: Anyone with criminal charges relating to animal abuse/neglect/torture are automatically denied, NO EXCEPTIONS.

If any information is falsified on your application, it will also result in automatic denial.

This process is put in place to ensure the animals in our care go to only the very best homes. Many have not had good lives to begin with and it's our duty to them to make sure they leave our care for loving, dedicated, safe homes.
