Poor Bakari has been in our care for over a year now, always overlooked by adopters. This handsome boy survived a horrific attack from coyotes/fox and lived to tell about it. With multiple deep punctures and lacerations throughout his face and head, it took weeks to fight off the infection, for the wounds to heal properly. Despite it all, he is the most affectionate and loving cat you will ever meet. He is an excellent napping partner who loves cuddling with his humans. He loves his fellow cat foster siblings, and often looks after them, but due to the prior attack, he does not like dogs, and understandably so. Therefore, he needs a dog free home.
Please help us find this amazing survivor the purrrfect adopter. One who will love and appreciate him as much as his foster family does.
Bakari is FIV positive, but it is only transmitted to other felines through deep bites, so he can live with other cats who do not have FIV. His only health problem is that he was born with a grade 1 systolic heart murmur, which classifies him as special needs. However, it doesn't affect his day to day life in any way.
